Saddle hunting has certainly left its mark on the bowhunting world over the past couple of years and the 2022 Archery Trade Association Show reflected that trend again this year.
From new saddles to climbing sticks to saddle-specific packs, the options available to dedicated saddle hunters is robust.
Here’s a look at a few of the new offerings.
Tethrd Phantom Elite Kit
What happens when you pair Tethrd with First Lite? This. The Phantom Elite kit includes a quartet of items: The Phantom Elite saddle, the Most Versatile Panel Elite (a versatile back support) and two SYS storage pouches. All come in First Lite’s Specter camo pattern.
The saddle is based on the GEN 2 Phantom and thus has the Freedom Belt and Utilibridge length. The kit, of course, includes a lineman’s belt, tree tether and carabiners.

Aero Hunter Shrike
When you have the type of history in creating tree saddles that Aero Hunter has, you can stack up plenty of features and touches that, when combined, create one awesome product. That was the intent behind the Shrike. Combining popular features and advancements from previous models, the Shrike is Aero Hunter’s latest model.
It’s offered in a new Gorilla mesh option that reduces weight and has a couple of nice features aimed at keeping the saddle in place both while in use and while walking.

TrophyLine Platow Pack
Finding a pack that’s specifically designed for saddle hunters and their gear just got a bit easier. TrophyLine’s Platow Pack is tailored specifically for mobile-focused saddle hunters. Essentially a customized lumbar-style pack, the Platow has a designated platform area with quick-detach loops. Cruzr Mini Seeker

Tethrd Skeletors
Climbing sticks are an oft-discussed piece of saddle-hunting gear and Tethrd has caused plenty of conversation over its release of the new Skeletors. These aluminum sticks feature a unique design that angles the steps out away from the tree for more sure-footed climbing.
They weigh in at 2 pounds each and are sold in four-packs. The sticks attach using a DynaLite rope system that’s quick, secure and helps reduce overall weight.
