I admit I’m a bit of a treestand addict. I have likely used just about every make, model and style of stand known to man over the past 10 years or so.
And, after this year’s visit to the 2022 Archery Trade Association show, I’ve got a few more new ones to check out. Here are some of the newest and lightest stands for next season.
Hawk Rival Lite
Hawk showcased its newest stand at the 2022 ATA show in the Rival Lite.
This is a stand designed for mobility and ease-of-carry. It folds down flat with no protruding points for comfortable packing and weighs in at 15 pounds.
The lounge-style seat will be a welcome feature on those all-day sits. The platform measures 20.5” by 29” and is rated for 300 pounds.

NOVIX Helo
NOVIX, the company formerly known as Lone Wolf (not to be confused with Lone Wolf Custom Gear, but that’s another story for another day), released the Helo as its newest ultra-light stand option. With a 26.5” by 16” platform, the stand is ideal for packing in deep and it weighs in at 9.2 pounds without straps (add a pound for those).
The cast aluminum stand features a 300-pound weight rating and the seat and platform offer ample leveling adjustment.

Lone Wolf Custom Gear .75
Lone Wolf Custom Gear made a splash two years ago with the release of the first of the uber-light (and uber-pricey) stand systems tailored for run-and-gun, mobile-focused bowhunters. The lineup included a trio of stands, the 2.0, 1.0 and .5. At the 2022 ATA Show, the Custom Gear crew rolled out a brand-new model that fits right between the 1.0 and the .75. The stand is so new, in fact, that overall specs and pricing were not yet available. But, essentially, the .75 offers a longer platform than the .5 and adds in additional options for accepting longer climbing sticks.

Timber Ninja Carbon Stand
Another incredibly light stand that was unveiled at the 2022 ATA Show that’s short on details but delivers plenty of drool-factor.
Timber Ninja is known for its super-cool carbon fiber climbing sticks and the prototype of a new carbon treestand drew plenty of attention.
The stand is reportedly going to weigh around 6.5 pounds and it’s not an oversized saddle platform either. Again, exact specs have not yet been released but the stand is expected to be available in the spring.

Elevate Stand Co. Element
Elevate Stand Co. is a newcomer to the treestand game and their first offering, The Element, looks solid.
Billed as a stand built for mobile hunters, the Element features a generous platform measuring 29” by 18.75” while weighing in at 10 pounds, six ounces. The stand is made entirely in the USA and you can choose between a ratchet strap or cam-buckle attachment system.
The stand’s dual-truss upright ensures a solid, rigid experience on the tree.
