The USA Network original reality series premiered in the wilds on Monday, April 3 at 11 p.m. ET/PT with a supersized episode, with new episodes airing every Monday.
The premise of this ultra-hardcore reality series is to take eight well-seasoned teams of two into the middle of the Aleutian Alaskan islands where they’ll have to rely on their diverse skills to compete against one another for the $500,000 prize.

Over the course of 40 days and six races, the teams will have to conquer more than 100 miles of the world’s most inhospitable terrain without food, water or a charted path. Relationships will be strained, injuries will happen and the elements will become their enemy as the competitors battle the external challenges along with their own exhaustion. They’ll have to push themselves to the brink of their mental and physical limits every episode because the last teams to make it to the finish line in each of the six races will be eliminated.
The eight teams are comprised of a spectrum of diverse competitors with backgrounds that include general adventurists, rock climbers, ice climbers, martial artists, survivalist trainers and even doctors. There’s also a variety of personal dynamics that will come into play as the teams feature dating couples, long-time friends, siblings and even a father/son team who represent the extremes of the contestants’ ages coming in at 53 and 21, respectively.
“Race To Survive: Alaska” will test what skills are truly integral to them successfully navigating the harsh backcountry and whether any of their bonds can overcome the demands of this life-or-death competition.
Amping up the competition survival reality series genre, “Race To Survive: Alaska” will have you on the edge of your seat every week rooting for these teams to overcome the natural “disasters” awaiting them every step of the way.
