Are Ravins Crossbows Heavy or Bulky?

Ravin Crossbow models weight between 6.0 and 9.9lbs.

The main reason I bought a Ravin, other than injuring my shoulder, was the low profile. The length of the Ravin’s ranges from 25 inches to 34.5 inches in length. The Helicoil limb design is what makes them worth every penny in my opinion. These small speed and energy-producing limbs are only 6 inches at most axel to axel while cocked on any model.

How Accurate Are Ravin Crossbows?

3″ Groups at 100 Yards—-> Unheard of…Until Now!

I saw a commercial for Ravin Crossbows advertising shooting them at 100 yards accurately. Come to find out, they are not lying. In fact, I’ve been able to shoot tighter groups that are 3″ at 100 yards with my R10. After some practice, I could not afford to shoot at the same dot on a target out to 70 yards or I would be breaking a bolt.

How Expensive Are Ravin Crossbows?

Ravin Crossbow prices range between $1324 and $3749 retail.

Ravins have gotten more expensive over the years as they come out with new models. The new models are usually faster, smaller, or more compact than the previous models. The technology has advanced considerably since the first model was produced. The first model was shooting at 390 feet per second and now the newest model is shooting a bolt at 500 feet per second. These crossbows aren’t cheap but they sure are fun.

Should You Buy A Ravin Crossbow?

Some people will call you crazy for spending 4 figures on a crossbow. These are the same guys who buy a $1000 bow and put $900 worth of accessories on it. Believe me, I used to be one of those guys before I injured my shoulder. I used to buy the best compound so I figured why not buy the best crossbows on the market. I want to have the most faith in my equipment when I set out to hunt. I owe that to the animal.
